Stephen says...

Sorry Tim, can't do it tonight. I'm going out for dinner with Star. It's our anniversary next Thursday, but we're going out tonight.

Wednesday, September 15, 2004

Tim says...

Errrm, well how about friday night instead. I have to meet up with my groups during that time.

Stephen says...

Timbo: You don't need Sake, Mirin or Chinese cooking wine will work too, you can probably get them at Safeway, or at Dan-D-Market (take the 99 to MacDonald and walk up half a block). Friday afternoon may work, I have a break from 12 to 2.

Karen says...

i'm freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee... *big happy grin* stupid long coop report over, stupid presentation over, i feel like i'm crawling out of a cave i've been stuck in for the last two and a half weeks!

joyce!!! my vote is for stack on me. as for the girls problem, i just sent out an email to possible girls who may possibly join us. viv, notice i've included you on that list. =) although asking people to give up their valuable sunday sleeping-in time may be quite a challenge. but of course, people sometimes do come through in surprising ways. i will talk to you about that later on.

yay ice-cream party!! =)

Joyce says...

TEAM NAME!!!

Registration deadline is upon us (well, 5 days away, but very soon for our undecicive crew)!
So far, we have:
1) Stack On Me
2) Kick Asscetyl-CoA

Give me some responses before I start spamming or calling everyone! (Deadline: Thursday, Sep. 16th before midnight) ...hmm... maybe we'll just call ourselves Chocolate cookies.. hmmm...i'm hungry

WE NEED MORE GIRLS! If you know any girl who would like to run around like a crazy person every weekend, do anything you can to get her on our team! (FYI, we have 4 girls so far. you KNOW what it is like to play with one or even no subs.)

main library is .... old

do people still come the this blog?

Monday, September 13, 2004

Tim says...

Steven: I need you to stop by sometime this week to help me with some 'preparation' if you know what I mean. I just hope we don't need any Sake 'cause I don't have any.

Stephen says...

Okay, ice cream party! We can have it on Saturday evening at 7:00 if that's all right with everyone else. Star and I will bring the ice cream, and everyone who's coming should bring their favourite topping! Also, we thought that we could all watch a movie, anybody have any suggestions (anything violent is out - Star)? Everyone let me know what you think. So far, Gordon's bringing Oreos and Tim's bringing marshmallows (yay Marshie!). If you don't know how to get to our apartment, email or phone me.

Tim: Ice cream is not the problem, idiot parents with no nutritional sense are the problem. If you feed your children ice cream to their heart's content, of course they're going to be fat; and if your really plan on spending your Friday afternoon protesting ice cream, I'll walk alongside you in support ....... with three scoops of Breyer's in a waffle cone.

Peter says...

Tim: I'm soooooo there.

Jason: Sooo... how was the party? (sorry i couldn't make it)

Tim says...

WORLD CUP FINAL
CANDA VS FINLAND

WHEN: Tuesday, Sept. 14th 4PM Pacific Time
WHERE: Gage Towers (South 6C/Commons Block)
WHO: YOU!
WHY: Your an idiot if you don't know why.

Joanne says...

Anyone who dares to complain about an ice cream party ought to be shot in the back.

I'll bring brownies! We can heat it up and eat ice cream with it...mmm....

Stephen says...

Gordon: Steve will do fine.

I was talking to Star, and we were thinking about having it next weekend, I'll get back to you with a date soon. What does everybody think of that? Any dissent?

Gordon says...

WELCOME BACK STEVE AND STAR (is it steve or steph... but steph sounds like stephanie....so I guess it would be steve?)!! Anyway.....Whoo hooo....ICE CREAM PARTY.... I'm bringing OREOS!

Stephen says...

Hi Everybody! Glad to be back!! The party was a lot of fun, and everything went off without a hitch. Joanne: Star wore a red silk Vera Wang dress, you'll have to see pictures (I tried to post a link, but it didn't work out). Also, we have something like 300 pictures to show everybody, we'll probably break this up into a few sessions, otherwise you'll all probably keel over, kill us, or both. Winnipeg was REALLY cold, though. It was the coldest summer on record this year, and it even snowed one day. We knew that it was cold because all of our relatives complained to us, but Winnipeg is usually 35 degrees in the summer. So we thought "What's cold? 15, 20?" No. Cold is 3, cold is freezing rain, and cold is Stephen-didn't-bring-a-fucking-sweater-because-it's-summer-goddammit! Regardless, we're home now. Also, we bought a super-boss camera and we can take AMAZING pictures! We've redecorated our place, and put up a photo gallery on our wall. Since you all have to see it, you know what that means: ICE CREAM PARTY v. 2.0 (heh). I don't know when, but before classes get nuts (is there ever such a time?).My idea for the team name is "The Gingerbread Men", I know we have women too, but hey, "can't catch me"!

GO CANADA GO!!

Joanne says...

Speaking of Artsy Fartsy....who's interested in checking out the Vancouver International Film Festival with me??? I know our BIOC 402 midterm is coming up around then, along with numerous Med School applications, but since I've always been terrible with my time management...anybody up for it? 8) There's always stuff AFTER October 1st....

Tim says...

Jason: You can book dates on the weekend but be forwarned that friday's and saturday's in particular are rather busy. We will have to book well in advance to get any good seats :p

Karen says...

- a wannabe artsy-fartsy -

so yeah, just wondering if anybody wants to subscribe to the arts club theatre stanley theatre package this season?? basically, subscription gets you 5 plays/musicals throughout the year, all at the stanley theatre at w. 14th-ish and granville. you get to pick the nights to go and location of seats. the catch is that it comes out to be like one dollar more per play than what one would pay through student rush (like we did for evita), ie. it's 99 dollars, no tax. there are some pretty good plays on this year and most of the good ones are at stanley anyway (or so i think). alors, if anybody else is interested, maybe we could go ensemble =). there's no rush since the first play stops showing in late october, so...something to consider guys!

PS: Stephen and Star, welcome back. =)

Pat says...

wait wait... i need a reference point Jason.. what is your definition of hot.
And.. i don't like how you make it seem so appealing for both sexes... something is fishy in this blog and it ain't the chips.

Tim says...

Jason: As much as I enjoy the anticipation of meeting up with 'hot girls'. I'm just wondering, is the probability of the girls being single very high?

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Update: IS EILEEN GOING??!?!?!

Joanne says...

Ah, I can finally post something without the server timing out or strange characters popping up.

WELCOME BACK STEPHEN AND STAR! Sorry I couldn't make it to your engagement party, but HOW WAS IT??? Oooohhh, WHAT DID STAR WEAR? (Yes, Joanne has truly returned).

Hahaha, "Stack on Me," so typical of Gary to think that.

Awww, I'm Paddling For Kids this Sunday, can't make it for Dim Sum 8*(. Can we do it again next week? I MISS YOU ALL SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!

Jason: I have only one question. Are your room mates goodlooking? ;)

And finally, THE APPRENTICE 2 is on tonight. Global at 8:30. Let's see if there are anymore cute CEO materials in this second instalment.

Ahem.. I accidentally deleted the List of double shame without realizing it and I recall a few people still owing me money. I only remember 1 or 2 of the names... I believe there are still 4 of you that owe me money and the amount of 10.47. So if you know who you are please step forward or may god have mercy on your soul.

Have a nice day.

Tim says...

Yay, everything is unpacked. Roommates seem pretty cool. Of course, there always has to be some problem....right now my keyboard isn't working so I can't log into my computer. Now I'm stuck at the SUB looking for solutions. Oh well, hopefully it's nothing I can't fix :)

Follow-up: Problem solved

Tim says...

I would like to mention that Canada is 2-0 after defeating Slovakia 5-1 today at the World Cup Tournament. GO CANADA!

Karen says...

*lol* if they carry each other, there'd be more than 2 people on the bridge. as the original question says, the bridge cannot hold more than 2 people. i told you it's not a tricky wording question! =)

christopher ng: bingo! it is exactly 17 minutes. you're completely correct. why am i not surprised? =)
