Stephen says...

I think female camels are less temperamental, maybe they train easier. Maybe Pat's just trying to use his charms to gt across the desert.

There are definitely a few girls in my class that are regularly mistaken for teenagers. Some of them, however, are not that far off from actually being teenagers.

Joanne says...

Why does Pat need a female camel?

The other day, a university student mistaken me for a high school one. You have no idea how happy that made me!

Joyce says...

Today, I took over a patient of my classmate's because she was under the weather and had to go home early. The patient was not too thrilled with this arrangement, and after I told her the most I could do for her was a cleaning or she could reschedule to have my classmate to do the cleaning for her, she took off and rescheduled.

Before she left, her teenage daughter asked me,
"So, how many years of college have you had?"

It caught me off guard, seriously. I told them I've had 3 years of dental school on top of 4 years of college.
Pt said, "so this is like an internship?"
Thinking about those "internship" undergrads have when they shadow a professional and do next to nothing, i told her, "more like grad school."

After they left, it dawned on me, "omg, no wonder they'd rather reschedule than having me do the cleaning!!! They thought I was a kid!" (my classmate's already a dentist in Russia.)

Oh, and I forgot to mention, it's one of those days when I'm not wearing makeups. And there's only been a handful of them (mostly when I'm on oral surgery rotation.)
